Five Pieces of Pueblo of Jemez Artwork to be dedicated at Sandoval Regional Medical Center

A dedication of five pieces of art from artists of the Pueblo of Jemez will be held at Sandoval Regional Medical Center (SRMC) Thursday, October 3 at 2:30 p.m. in the 2nd Floor lobby of the hospital.

A dedication of five pieces of art from artists of the Pueblo of Jemez will be held at Sandoval Regional Medical Center (SRMC) Thursday, October 3 at 2:30 p.m. in the 2nd Floor lobby of the hospital.

 The pieces were commissioned by SRMC through the Pueblo of Jemez Collaborative Art Project and represent traditional values of the Pueblo.

 The artists and their works that will be at the dedication are:

             Laura Fragua-Cota, painting                                 "Mother Earth's Blessing"

            Rosalie Toya, pottery, wedding vase                    “United as One"

            Lynn Toledo,  pottery, clay figurine                      "Song of Hope"

            Martha Chosa, tapestry                                            "Spiritual Nutrition"                        

            Joseph Loretto, Sr.  wood carvings that frame/enclose each of the other artists' pieces.
